The size of the poster to be presented is fixed: 91.44 cm wide x 121.92 cm high (3-feet width x 4-feet Height).
The poster should contain sufficient information so that a reader can be able to gather overall understanding of the content even in absence of presenter.
The title of the poster at the top should span through the full width of the poster. It should be followed by the authors name and affiliations/institutions name
The Left-hand top corner of the poster should contain logo of presenter’s own institution.
The background of the poster should be white and the contents should be arranged vertically; not horizontally.
There is no restriction on the choice of colour to be used for the content in the poster. While choosing colour make sure that it is a good contrast, visible and readable.
The poster should be divided into the following sections – Introduction (Background); Methodology; Results; Conclusion; References and Acknowledgements.
Use of diagrams/figures to depict the intended information is encouraged
Presenters are requested to hang their posters in the morning on the day of the presentation.
The presenter must be present near the poster to explain and clarify the queries of the audience and jury members.
The jury member/assessor will visit the posters, and it is sole responsibility of the presenter to must present the work through poster within 3-5 minutes.
The assessor will then ask questions to the presenter for another 2-3 minutes.
The poster will be on display until 5:00 p.m. of the same day, and the presenter must remove their poster afterword.
Guidelines for Oral (PowerPoint) Presentation
The presenters should ideally have 8-10 slides (including the Title and thank you slides) so that they are able to complete the presentations withing the given time (7 minutes).
If slide number increases then also, they should try to complete the presentation withing given time (7 minutes).
To qualify for the awards the presenters must give their presentation in front of the jury members/assessors at the allotted time slot (The time slot will be communicated through email).
Total duration for each presentation is fixed at 09-10 minutes, which includes power point presentation for 7 minutes followed by question/answer by the jury members and audience for 2-3 minutes.
Since there are so many presentations to be completed in the given time period, strict adherence of presentation duration will be enforced and presentations will be stopped at the end of 7 minutes, and question /answer will begin.
If presenter continues and takes excess time, the marks will be deducted from the final score.
Thus, the presenters are requested to practice their presentations beforehand and ensure time adherence.
